Summer Camps for College Students - Certification in Arts

€8,000.00

An annual certification summer programme where university undergraduates will learn critical ‘higher order’ leadership skills through working closely with disadvantaged youth to lead workshops and performances in local communities.

The first two weeks (9th to 22nd June 2024) is a tuition-based programme run by the Centre’s founder, Caroline Watson, and John O’Hagan, academic advisor. The following 8 weeks (23rd June to 18th August 2024) is action-learning in co-leading the summer camps for the children, supported by daily feedback sessions from Caroline, John and our artists in residence. The full 10-week programme runs from 9th June to 18th August 2024.

During each session, campers will engage in creating and presenting an original piece of theatre. Summer interns and resident artists lead the campers through these learning activities.
