Programmes for Artists

THE POWER OF THE ARTS

Are you an artist or ‘cultural creative’ looking to develop your creative practice and leadership skills?  Keen to think in larger ways about your work and it’s applications in the real world?  Looking to build a wider network of those with a passion for using the arts in service to humanity?  Or wanting to understand how to monetise your work in ways that align with your values?

Then you’ve come to the right place!

At The Centre for the Arts and Global Leadership, we offer the space and time for you to work on your art, workshops and Masterclasses to support your personal and professional development from some of the most dynamic artist-leaders in our world today, and both paid and volunteer opportunities to be part of our movement to make the arts and artists central to the transformation of our world.

Artist residencies

The chance to spend time living and working alongside other artists from around the world on the stunning Clos de Gaye estate, at the foothills of the Pyrénées in south west France, in residential retreats lasting from one week to 3 months.

Summer School

During the months of May and June, come and learn from some of the foremost artist-leaders from around the world, in week-long programmes that support your personal and professional development in the arts.

We are proud to be affiliated with some of the most exciting artist leaders from around the world, those who are not only top of their game artistically, but also have a strong commitment to education and community work, and the business acumen to build a full-time career in the performing and visual arts.

Our Summer School programmes provide you with the opportunity to both hone your art, improve your leadership skills and potentially pave the way to becoming more involved with The Centre’s work and our teaching and learning programmes at Clos de Gaye. This could be through selling your work through our shop at Clos de Gaye, through exhibitions and performances, ‘collectors’ weekends, and through our online portal.

Our summer 2025 programme will shortly be available online but please do sign up below to be kept informed.

Masterclass Programmes

A unique year-long, online leadership development and peer support network to help you monetise your work, put in place a strategic plan for your career, practical skills to tell your story and market your work, develop the leadership and vision to make your art have an outsized impact in the world.

Based on our groundbreaking programme for artist and non-artists leaders, The Art of Leadership, we bring you a bespoke programme designed specifically for the needs of artists, blending modules from our ‘Mosaic’ template for leadership development, combined with specific and targeted support for your business and career plan, with our master facilitators and mentors.

Designed to accompany you on your journey for the long-term, the programme includes both in-person Zoom workshops and online learning interactions through a mobile-learning app, group workshops targeted to your own business goals, all of which can also be combined with retreats at Clos de Gaye, our space in south west France, enabling you to tailor your learning to adapt to the needs of your career or further studies.

We offer different price points to support and cater to all artists, at different stages of their journey, and are also able to offer scholarships and bursaries to those without the means to attend

But that’s not all….

We are on a mission to harness the power of the arts to make a massive impact in the state of our world today. For too long, artists have been on the periphery of society, denied not just financing or opportunities to grow their impact, but, critically, left out of the important conversations happening in the corridors of power. We want to change this, by not only using participation in the arts to transform the potential of our corporate, government and civil society leaders, but by also supporting artists to step into their own leadership, and have an outsized, positive impact in our world today, placing the role of art and artists at the centre of transformation in our world.

If you are passionate about the role that the arts can play in our world, we want to hear from you! We not only provide you with opportunities to develop your own leadership skills through courses and programmes that support your personal and professional journey, but we also want you to be part of what we are building at the Centre, through our annual Festival, residency programmes, corporate training initiatives and our educational work in communities around the world.

Does this sound like it could be interesting? Below you will find information about the programmes we offer that hopefully we can involve you in. Take some time to look through the different opportunities and then please reach back out to us to let us know how you’d like to get involved!
